Manzurul Islam khan, is one of the best Ghazal Singer of Bangladesh along with a new Ghazal sensation in this sub continent with the golden voice of his guru “Jagjit Singh”; The artiste or the pleasure presenter to the aesthetic mind can assure it was the effort of exploring music & Now people call Manzur “Banglar Jagjit” (Jagjit of the Bengli). Manzur Born in Shibchar, Madaripur, Bangladesh on June 21, 1967 Completed his master degree From Dhaka University & Master in Music from University of Bombay (Mumbai), India.
Presently Manzurul Islam Khan is Head of Music sub continental Classical Music department Alliance Francaise de Dhaka.
Learning Started under the knd umbrella of Ustad Abul Kalam Siddiqui, Ustad Shiv Shankar Das, Ustad Nurul Islam of Shibchar Then Ustad Azad Rahman, Amjad Hossain, Sanjib Dey and Aminul Haq of Dhaka followed by “CHAYANAT” the organization of creating Artiste of cultural Ground. Then abroad under the shadow of the guardianship of Pandit Ranji Biswas & Ustad Asman khan in India. If the above learning was under the kind umbrella then this could be treated as under the shadow of banyan tree of Ghazal World like Mitali Mukharjee, Bhupender Shing & Anup Jalota; then Manzur Continue his dream training under the kind supervisor of jagjit Singh. Inspired by the classic feeling of Mehedi Hasan , Golam Ali and also the “Reel and the Lover” Kazi Nazrul Islam, Manzurul islam Khan fries Nazrul’ songs with utmost love and presently holding the status of the enlisted “A” grade artiste of Bangladesh Television and Betar as a singer of Nazrul Sangeet. Manzur Performed a lot of live programmed at several prestigious venue lik Rabinadra Natta Mondir, Mumbai & Kala Mondir, Kolkata in India & Osmani Auditorium with Mitalee Mukharjee, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, Dhaka Sheraton Hotel, Dhaka Club, Gulshan Club, Uttara Club, Dhanmondi Club etc. In the music world, Manzur Starts tune many of superstars of this subcontinent like Mumbai star Shaan, Shrirabha Banarjee, Reshmi Chawkraborty and in Bangladesh Shubir Nandi, Kanak Chapa.
